Woodcock and Snipe Wings

December 3, 2015 by Action

Woodcock and Snipe Wings wanted urgently for NARGC Research

We are asking all members to take one wing from all woodcock and snipe shot this season, and to store them an open cardboard box. No plastic bags accepted. They can be posted directly to Mr. Ray Devine, Carranglough, Bonniconlon, Ballina, Co. Mayo.  Tel 087 2937350.

We will also be collecting them at the spring quarterly in early February and sending them to Ray in bulk to save members the bother of posting them and to ensure a good response from Cork. If we don’t support these projects we could find ourselves without the woodcock as a game species very soon.

Please ask EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF YOUR CLUB to fill in the bag returns forms that they received with gameshot. We would imagine most members have the excuse of having lost it by now, but it can be downloaded here. There is no need to put club members’ names on the form only the county, but please ask all members to fill it in.

They can be either posted back to the NARGC or we will collect them at the spring quarterly. This information is vital if we want to ensure the future of our sport.
