GDPR Meeting

May 2, 2018 by Conchur Lucey

As some of you already will be aware GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will come into effect on May 25th 2018.

The GDPR is an E.U. wide legal framework, under this new law is a requirement for organisations and clubs such as our own to be fully transparent about how and why we collect, process, store and manage personal information and data we have on individuals.

Because these changes will affect us all and given the seriousness and the potential for prosecution for non-compliance we have invited Mr. Chris Gavican of the NARGC to attend a meeting to give a presentation on the subject.

As I have already mentioned this regulation will affect us all and with that in mind I would urge any officer(s) in your club who have access to or holds personal details on members ie. secretaries & treasurers to attend this very important meeting.

The meeting will be held in the Oriel House Hotel Ballincollig on Wednesday 23rd May at 8pm sharp.

N.B This is meeting solely for the purpose the GDPR.
